Which of the scenarios concerns you the most and why? (due by 2/5)
the one about iran having nuclear weapons worries me the most because we aren't sure if or when they will use them. That could be a major threat to our country and will def make things a whole lot worse in the war. ITs scary to think that other countries are capable of making nuclear weapons especially those with unstable governments. because of the weapons get into the hands of the wrong people, then it could be really bad. If we can prevent the use of nuclear weapons with other countries that would be the best option
ReplyDeleteI think Iran having/making nuclear weapons is most threatening to the United States. Iran poses the greatest threat to us simply because we are taking over (or trying to) take over neighboring countries, and they fear us coming in and running their lives more than we already have. Iran knows that we have the capability of fighting with nuclear weapons, but they do not fear us because they have enough to retaliate. In addition, Iran is threatening a strike in the United States, which is something we're not used to because we usually fight our wars oversees. Because of Iran wanting to fight us, here in our country, Iran is the greatest threat to the United States and its people in 2012.
ReplyDeleteI believe that Iran's Nuclear development is the most concerning thing on the list but not necessarily for the U.S. I do however worry for Israel seeing as how Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad claims that Israel "must be wiped off the map."

Those who hold power in Iran are very antisemitic and hold a strong hate for Israel whom they call a "fake regime". I feel as though the target of any Iranian attack would be Israel. However this attack might pull the U.S. into a war with the Iran seeing as how we (the U.S.) are allies with Israel and tension between the U.S. and Iran continues to grow. The U.S. might see this issue as something for Israel to deal with on its own though, because the Israelis have a nuclear arsenal that is believed to total at over 200 and have in the past proven to be able to take care of themselves even while surrounded by hostile nations.
I think the one that concerns me the most would be america's inability to keep up with this new technology era. Our security is obviously not as high tech as we think if our own citizens hack into it often enough. Our lack of technological security is very worrisome because at this point in time, almost everything is electronic. If an enemy country was wanting to shut down america's core, they would be able to very easily. If this did happen, then people would all begin to panic. We, as Americans, don't know how to function without our iPhones and computers. Im literally doing this homework assignment from my iPhone, so I honestly don't know how I'd function without technology. If technology was shut down, people would go crazy and it would honestly be the perfect time to attack america. We need to up technology security to make the population feel more safe.
ReplyDeleteOne that is of most concern would be that the government can't keep up with the technology. As the citizens of this country we rely on the government to keep us safe. but how can they do this if they are being hacked by Anonymus and Lulz Security (LulzSec). Not being able to detect who these hackers are and not being able to shut them down shows how unstable we are. This is the fuel that terrorists can use to set the fire ablaze.
ReplyDeleteThe one that is the biggest concern for me is Iran having and creating nuclear weapons. this threatens the safety of the entire world. Any country having nuclear weapons is a danger, but given the events that have revolved around Iran and that territory in the recent years. there is also the problem with terrorists maybe having easy access to the weapons. Even though there is a small chance of this actually happening it may be more of a possibility with the uncertainty that Iran has.
ReplyDeleteIran having nuclear weapons concerns me the most because they do no like us at all. With the fact that they are developing nuclear weapons, we all know who they are made for. This is a big red sign that we need to act soon before they use them on us. We either need to act fast or suffer the consequences of waiting around.
ReplyDeleteI believe, and so should the rest of the world, that Iran having nuclear weapons is my biggest concern. Not only do they want to wipe Israel off the map but America along with it. The world needs to react to this situation immediately. We need to go in, disable the nukes, and destroy all of their information.
ReplyDeleteThe one that concerns me the most is Iran. The fact that they have nuclear weapons and are continuing to make them is a scary thought. It also doesn't help the fact that they already hate us. Also, the threat of terrorist coming to our country, bringing these nuclear weapons with them, doesn't help me sleep at night... We need to come to a common ground with them so no one gets blown up here.
ReplyDeleteGoing along with many others, I believe the most concern should go toward Iran with nuclear weapons. We are obviosly not good friends with Iran, so we don't know if, or even possibly when they could use a nuclear weopn. You can't just disable all the nukes, we need to try and make peace with them. We need to be smart, and don't do anything stupid to make our relationship worse with Iran.
ReplyDeleteuhm,, knowing that Iran has the capability to make nuclear weapons i think is the bigger problem.. their governments arent stable and if they for some reason choose to bomb the united states we would have a lot of problems defending ourselves not to mention all the debt our country already has paying for everything necessary would be outragious.. i just think we should keep our eyes out for anything suspicious and be ready at any time..
ReplyDeleteThe one that I'm concerned the most about is Iran having nuclear weapons. Iran sees us as an enemy and now that theyre beginning to threaten countries with nuclear weapons leads me to believe that they will eventually make a move towards the U.S. I hope that the situation will resolve itaelf, but I don't think that any real progress will happen soon, which means that we as a country will have to be especially careful.
ReplyDeleteI am concerned most over irans possible nuclear capabilities. As an outspoken enemy of the states there is a higher possibility they may choose to attack. It could even be an attack through a front like a terrorist group who have the same goals. In any event the favt that they may have nuclear capabilities worries any sane person.
ReplyDeleteWhat concerned me the most was Iran having nuclear weapons. Since the do not like us one bit, if we do something they do not like they could send a nuclear attack on us without even thinking. Even with the terrorist in Iran, they might just want to send a nuclear strike on us just because they hate us and they want to do it.
